Electric oven comes on by itself

Dec 28, 2007 · I have a gas stove and oven, with an electric starter for the oven. It is a GE Hotpoint oven, only about 4 years old. The problem----it turns itself on for less than a minute, then turns itself off...This has been happening a few times per day.
